Terry Southall, Strategic Account Manager

Summary of Qualifications & Career Overview

Terry Southall’s military career routed him through multiple, hands-on specialties in satellite communications, including installation and maintenance, cable systems networking, and power systems management, before he became an Information Management Craftsman. In this role, he not only expanded his expertise into A+ certification topics, such as networking and web design, he became certified to teach computer classes.  While Terry excelled in all of his military specialties, he found himself most at home in front of a classroom, an experience that led him to his first full-time instructor position of “Information Management Flight” at Keesler Air Force Base.

At Keesler, Terry managed a team of 25 military and three civilian instructors.  He developed course curricula, including a precursor program to the A+ network certification.  Terry, was a member of a team of instructors for two Information Management classes that averaged over 5,000 students annually. This training leadership role refined Terry’s communication and time management skills, professional demeanor and commitment to staff development.

After earning his BS degree in 2009, Terry became a Technical Trainer and Corporate Training Manager for a Global Business Process Outsourcing company where he was also a primary liaison with 140 clients.  In 2012 he joined a global manufacturing company as a Training Coordinator where he designed, developed, and implemented a six-week program for new hires, along with safety and management classes.  In this role, he met Reliability Solutions team members and was inspired by the comments of employees who enrolled in their classes.  When Terry’s job was eliminated in a corporate reorganization, he whole-heartedly joined the Reliability Solutions team to support clients in achieving their development and profit goals.
